Susanna Reid, 50, told Good Morning Britain viewers that she won’t be having a "hot girl summer" for months yet on the ITV show on Monday.
Faced with the idea of going to a swimming pool and donning her bikini or swimming costume, the star wasn’t keen.
It comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson has finally relaxed the lockdown restrictions in the UK from today.
Watching as competition presenter Andi Peters stood by a big blue swimming pool, Susanna said to Ben: "I'll tell you what, it's a little early for a swimsuit.
"I’ve been in lockdown, there's a few pounds that have gone on," she giggled.
Susanna then seemed to hint that she will be working on her body now that lockdown restrictions have lifted.
"Hot girl summer is a couple of months away. I'll tell you," she warned.
"The work starts now though," Ben Shephard declared.
Last year, Susanna revealed she’d put on a stone while in lockdown, and was struggling with maintaining her weight.

Many people all across the country have suffered from the restrictions and the change to their usual routine, and putting on weight has been a common result of that.
The presenter was speaking to The Body Coach Joe Wicks on the breakfast show as she confided in him about her difficulties in curbing her cravings.
Susanna also admitted she found it hard to get the motivation to exercise too.

"I’m going to be battling with the lockdown stone, it went on during lockdown one," she said, before asking the fitness guru for his tips on helping her avoid putting on any more weight in lockdown two.
The star went on to say that she’d lost a stone and a half since she went to the doctor over a skin problem back in 2019, after being told she was at the upper end of her BMI, but had piled some of it back on again.
