'The Bachelorette': Clare Crawley Defends Falling So Quickly, Says It's 'Not for Anybody to Really Decide'
Sometimes it’s hard to tell who the star of The Bachelorette likes the most. But this season is very different. Clare Crawley said she knew which man could be her husband right after meeting him in the premiere. She also has something to say to those who think it all happened too fast.
Clare Crawley fell fast on ‘The Bachelorette’
Crawley met over 30 men on the first night of The Bachelorette. There was one man who won her over immediately.
Dale Moss got out of the limo and told her, “I’m a hugger so I got a big hug for you.” He then hugged her and picked her up off the ground. Crawley said she needed the hug so bad.
“Clare, my name is Dale. While it’s been a long time coming I couldn’t be more excited to take this journey with you. And I really do feel this is gonna be special,” he told her. The former football player told her the best part of the night is they still get to spend more time together inside.
Crawley took some time to regain her composure. “I definitely feel like I met my husband,” she told the camera after he walked away. “Oh my god, I’m shaking.”
Chris Harrison talked to her after this moment. “Every other guy I felt confident with. But with Dale, everything else went dark,” she explained.
Harrison said she is the first person to say she found her husband on the first night. Crawley said she’s 39 years old and knows what she wants.
She gave Dale Moss the first impression rose
Fans were probably not that surprised by who she gave her first impression rose to in the episode. She picked Dale.
“I talked to so many men and you’re the one I still wanna keep talking to. And I feel like as much as we talked I want more of that. I absolutely want more of that,” she told him.
“That’s exactly how I feel,” he told her. He accepted her rose, but some fans might think this all happened too fast. Crawley does have something to say to people who are skeptical.
She defends falling so fast
It was obvious Crawley was smitten by Dale immediately after meeting him. The reality star addressed skeptics in an interview with Us Weekly.
“My question would be to the people that are saying that — to the people that question it — what exactly is the formula for falling in love?” she asked. “Is there one way to do it? Is there one example of this is how it’s done?”
She had more questions about how long it takes to develop feelings for someone. “Who are these people to decide how long it takes somebody to fall in love? Is it a week? Is it a month? Is it a year? Is it two years?” Crawley asked.
She then gave her own conclusion about the situation. “How people fall in love and the amount of time that it happens or what the process is [changes],” the hairstylist said. “It’s not for anybody to really decide if there is a cookie cutter for that.”
Fans will have to keep watching the season to see how far their connection will go. But it looks like Crawley is confident about her decision.
