The REAL reason Faye and Teddy aren’t compatible revealed as relationship expert brands them ‘toxic’

TENSIONS reached boiling point this week when Faye Winter learnt that her fellow Islanders didn’t think she was compatible with Teddy Soares.

The explosive estate agent questioned everyone’s motives for voting for them as she insisted they were well suited – despite a series of shocking rows.

But it’s not just those in the Love Island villa who have questioned their relationship, a leading relationship expert has spoken out about the red flags that do in fact make the pair incompatible.

Dr. Katherine Hertlein, world-renowned couples therapist and lead advisor at sex therapy app Blueheart, has deemed their relationship ‘toxic’ and pointed out how different the couple really are when it comes to communication.

She told us:  “Faye’s explosive interactions with Teddy could harm any chance for them to have a constructive, respectful conversation about any problems, which can be a major red flag in any type of relationship.

“In fact, Teddy has shown signs of a healthier communication style as he refuses to match her level of intensity.”

The expert continued:  “Faye must learn to communicate in a more effective manner by remaining calm, listening, adopting a stance of curiosity, and working toward productive problem solving rather than defending herself through displaying explosive behaviour.

“Additionally, Teddy must learn to set boundaries without indirectly enabling her behaviour by staying in a relationship with her.

“When a partner consistently cannot bring themselves to hear your concerns without a fiery reaction or extremely defensive behaviour, it can create a toxic dynamic.”

Faye has become known for her hot head during her time in the villa – and her reaction to finding out who voted for her was no exception, as she laid into the other couples.

Earlier this month, there were calls for the Islander to be kicked off the show after she berated Teddy in a furious row.

Her treatment of her partner triggered more than 25,000 Ofcom complaints – the most in Love Island's history.
