Tipping Point fans baffled as they spot BIG change to show in latest episode

TIPPING POINT viewers were left scratching their heads as they noticed a huge change to the show's format.

Monday afternoon's instalment of the ITV quiz show whipped spectators into an online frenzy as Mandi, Nick, Rachel and Andy took on the machine.

The four hopefuls soon introduced themselves to host Ben Shephard – but viewers were left distracted by one fine detail.

Within minutes, fans were asking if the episode was a "repeat" with four contestants playing, rather than just three.

Taking to Twitter, one person questioned: "Four contestants again? I must either be a time traveller, or this is a repeat."

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "What's going on? There are four contestants rather than three."

Also noticing the extra player, a third remarked: "Four contestants is so much better than three, in my opinion."

Just last month, Tipping Point fans slammed bosses for "ruining the show" after noticing the number of its players decrease by one.

The show also saw more time added to the clock, allowing contestants to win more chips to play in the machine.

Fans flocked to the post to blast the change, arguing that it "takes the competitive edge away" from the show.

Host Ben appeared on This Morning to inform viewers of the change and how it will work moving forward.
