Vikings season 6: Bjorn star teases ‘epic’ scenes in mammoth two hour premiere

Vikings fans will see the first episode of the final instalment air on he History Channel before the year is out and Bjorn (played by Alexander Ludwig) will mark his return as King of Kattegat in a two hour special.

Taking to Instagram, the star teased what’s to come with a brand new trailer teasing fire and blood.

The trailer warned: “From the Ashes They Will Rise” as Bjorn is already seen battling it out as the new ruler.

The star told fans the new series will feature an “epic” ending.

The caption read: “Vikings is back and more intense than ever premiering for two hours on December 4th 9/8c on @historytv @historyvikings

“I hope you are all as excited as I am for the epic ending all our amazing fans deserve.”

However, it seems things will be intense from the start as the star went on to reveal what’s to come.

He added: “But before that… it gets insane… so much love to you all.

“I really can’t believe we have managed to end the show the way we hoped we would when we started. It is all because of you! Enjoy!”

With yet another war looming, fans have been worried about the fate of the new King.

His leadership is bound to be tested in the upcoming seasons as the political situation heats up.

With it seeming to be inevitable the Viking’s claim to the throne will be opposed in upcoming episodes, will Bjorn survive?

However, with the actor himself promising an ending that fans deserve, this could mean the King will be in for a long reign.

Meanwhile, fans have been wondering if Floki Vilgerðarson, (played by Gustaf Skarsgard) will make a comeback after he became trapped in a huge avalanche in the season five finale.

Now it seems his fate has been confrimed, with the trailer teasing huge devestation for Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith).

Although the avalanche would surely have sealed his fate, viewers have been hoping the Viking would somehow escape.

However, it seems the character won’t be making a comeback after the trailer revealed he won’t be found.

In the Clip, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) said: “ I want to look for Floki.”

However, in response Kjetill Flatnose (Adam Copeland) who followed the viking on his expedition explained: “you can search all you want, you won’t find him.”

Will Ubbe be the one to recover his body?
