BELOVED comedian John Mulaney returns to the stage in NYC after a brief hiatus.
Mulaney recently finished a self admitted stint in rehab for his chronicled battle with addiction, and is now returning to stand up comedy.
When is John Mulaney performing at NYC’s City Winery?
Mulaney is scheduled to perform at the City Winery for May 10 through May 14.
This comes after Mulaney's 60 day stint Pennsylvania rehab facility for his ongoing battle with drug and alcohol addiction.
Mulaney has struggled with alcohol and drugs since he was 12 years old, citing a lack of confidence in adolescence to his usage.
By February of 2021, Mulaney had completed his 60 day program, and transitioned into outpatient sober care.
Before his time in rehab, Mulaney had considerably slowed his workload while he was struggling.
The man behind multiple comedy specials, the Netflix hit shows Bigmouth and ohn Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch had taken on less and less projects.
In November of 2020, Mulaney was writing for his old Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers late night television show.
Before long however, Mulaney admitted himself into the facility to seek treatment.

Unfortunately, Mulaney's first shows since returning to comedy almost immediately sold out.
As he continues in the battle to stay sober, it is unknown how much of a workload Mulaney is ready to take on.
Regardless of the amount, fans are excited to see Mulaney doing better and returning to comedy again.
With the coronavirus pandemic nearing an end, with a large number of American citizens receiving either full or partial vaccination, live events are beginning to return in part.
Comedy shows had been hosted during the pandemic, often in outdoor spaces that followed CDC social distancing guidelines.
Per the official event listing for Mulaney's residency, "“either be fully vaccinated or have received a negative COVID test prior to the event.”
The Saturday Night Live alum will also be enforcing a no-cellphone policy at his performances.
This has become a trend amongst many comedians, most famously Dave Chapelle.
While Mulaney continues in his recovery, fans all over social media wish him the best going forward.
