X Factor: The Band fans hit with voting issues minutes before winner announced

The X Factor: The Band was hit with voting issues during the live final according to some fans.

Some viewers tweeted to reveal they were having problems with voting for their winner on the show app.

Girl band Real Like You took on boy band Unwritten Rule, each performing four songs.

It was then up to the viewers at home to vote for the winner, with the app the only tool they could use.

But as voting got underway, some fans couldn't chose their winner, as others couldn't vote for the boys.

With the app, each viewer gets five free votes to use until closing.

But some fans only got as far as three votes before an error message appeared, stating: "Vote system error.

"The App has encountered an error. Please check your connection and try again."

One viewer said that they were able to vote for the girl band, but when they tried to vote for the boys they hit an error.

A viewer tweeted: "Aww not this again!? .. Lets me vote for girls but anytime I click the guys it's voting error? Interesting that I smell a set up!"

Another said: "The girls should win this easily, even though hardly anyone is watching and the app isn’t working properly."

Other viewers were able to vote just fine.

As the result came in, Dermot O'Leary announced it was Real Like You who had won the show.

When the announcement was read out, the girls screamed and jumped up and down in shock.

Viewers had predicted the girls would win the series after the live performances.
