2 men gunned down in separate shootings in Queens
Two Queens men were gunned down in apparently unrelated shootings just minutes apart Friday night.
Tyrell Rice, 29, was found lying on the ground near Rockaway Boulevard and 134 Street with a gunshot wound to the torso around 10:30 p.m., police said. Rice was later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
Around 15 minutes later, police found Alexander Pedraja, 23, on the ground just two doors down from his home, with a gunshot wound to the back. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The shooters may have been waiting for him in a black sedan, police sources said.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
