De Blasio starts workweek late with 9 a.m. workout in Park Slope

So much for getting a jump on the workweek.

Mayor de Blasio arrived at the Park Slope YMCA at 8:58 a.m. Monday, an hour later than he typically gets to the gym, according to a review of his schedule published by The Post.

Hizzoner seemed to snub his nose at The Post’s front-page story Monday, “Y Go to Work?” with his delayed arrival at his favored fitness facility in Brooklyn, a 13-mile drive from his Gracie Mansion home.

The Post article revealed that the mayor typically begins his gym routine at 8 a.m. and arrives at his first work appointment at 10:30 a.m.

On Monday, de Blasio emerged from the gym just after 10:20 a.m. He was heading for an interview that was not on his public schedule.

The only event on his official schedule is his weekly 7 p.m. appearance on NY1.
