Festive drinkers in Birmingham get warmed up for Christmas

Oh come all ye DISGRACEFUL! Festive drinker get warmed up for Christmas with boozy night on the tiles… that proves a little too merry for some

  • The Christmas office party season was in full swing on Birmingham’s nightclub strip last night
  • Partygoers were dressed in festive gear including stylish Christmas jumpers and snowman costumes
  • But several other were looking worse for wear, with St John Ambulance assisting on several callouts

The office Christmas party season is upon us, and hundreds of workers in Birmingham were among those hitting the town last night to celebrate.

Partygoers were seen dressed in stylish Christmas jumpers and other festive outfits as they made their way along Broad Street to late night events.

Several nightclubs started the weekend with Christmas themed nights and Walkabout had a ‘Bad Santa’. Popworld were playing Christmas No.1 Hits throughout the night to get everyone into the swing, while Reflex held the Santa’s Grotto Weekender.

But as the night wore on, a few revellers looked a bit worse for wear as they stepped back out on to Birmingham’s main party street, with St John ambulance service being brought in to alleviate 999 ambulances for the rest of the city. 

One man was seen paralytic on the steps of the Jury’s Inn hotel; a paramedic attended to him and he was later stretchered away for a trip to A&E.

Another man was seen with blood streaming down his face after a suffering a nasty blow to the head, he was also assessed by a different ambulance crew.

Female revellers didn’t allow the cold temperatures to stop them enjoying their night, with many donning a Santa hat to keep themselves warm.
