Pub trolled for ‘Britain’s worst beer garden’ CLOSES after punters forced to sit in a car park | The Sun
A PUB that was said to have the "worst beer garden" in the UK has now closed.
The Brass Button in Motherwell became a laughing stock after a picture emerged of the boozer's beer garden.
The picture showed tatty tables and chairs on a gravel yard. A wheelie bin was parked up against a graffiti covered wall.
An extractor vent from a nearby building overlooked the beer garden.
The image was far removed from the traditional pub beer garden which features a manicured lawn, wooden benches and plant pots.
The Brass Button has since closed.Craig Campbell, who posted the picture on social media, said: "Nice beer garden in Motherwell if anyone fancies a pint."
Another tweeter joked: “I call that a solid piece of entrepreneurial art.”
One man wrote “The Button defo[sic] wins the best beer garden award”, with three laughing cry emojis.
However some locals posted messages of support praising the non-nonsense boozer.
One regular, Kevin Moore, said: "It is a bit harsh. It's a great wee hub in our scheme where the locals enjoy great pints and friendly banter all year round.
