  • Frankie the terrier cross was rescued by the RSPCA in North Yorkshire in August 
  • The four-year-olds was filthy and covered in tight, knotted matts of fur 
  •  He was found abandoned with another dog in Sowerby Bridge

These before and after photos show the brilliant transformation of a pooch – which had fur so matted he could not even move when he was rescued – after finding his forever home.  

When Frankie was rescued by the RSPCA he was so matted he couldn’t see or move.

The four-year-old terrier cross was absolutely filthy and was covered in tight, knotted matts of fur all over his body, meaning he could barely walk.

After his transformation, the terrier cross emerged healthy and happy, with a good clean and clipped fur

The coat was so thick around his head he struggled to see. 

He was rescued by RSPCA inspectors in August when he was found abandoned with another dog in Sowerby Bridge, North Yorkshire. 

He was taken into the charity’s Warrington branch before being transferred to RSPCA Leeds & Wakefield branch for urgent care.

Adorable before and after photos show Frankie when he was first rescued, covered in dirt and long, matted fur. 

After his transformation, the terrier cross emerged healthy and happy, with a good clean and clipped fur.
