This is the moment a fruit and veg shop becomes the surprising location for a mass brawl after a video shared online shows a gang attacking each other with weapons. 

Footage recorded at the scene shows a man leaving a grocery shop in Cricklewood, north London, as a group of four men lay in wait outside.  

One of the thugs can be seen on camera hitting the man with a large pole, as the man swings his arms up in a bid to fight back.

Another hooded man then bumps into the corner of the stand, knocking over a bowl of bananas.

The scuffle spills over into the road, with the man being hit again with the long pole before it is dropped and the gang flee the scene.

Shocked onlookers at a nearby bus stop look on in horror, as the four men are heckled down the street by the attacked man.

The Met have been contacted to provide comment.  

The video was uploaded to Twitter and has been viewed over 23,000 times. 

One Twitter user said: ‘Fair play to the fella who came out of the shop by himself V 5 of them.

‘When he sees this video he’ll be proud of himself and so he should be.’

Another unimpressed viewer said: ‘Wow that’s so sad, used to live nearby and the place was very nice 5 years ago.

‘Looks like London is going mad.’

Others poked fun at the location of the brawl.

One social media user joked: ‘Is that Alpha Males Assemble and fall out over fruit.’

A second wrote: ‘I wonder if the shop owner picks up the fruit of the floor and puts it back in the bowls to sell?’

‘Disagreement over last fresh items’, a third quipped.
