The 18-year-old man is now in an East London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "At this early stage, it is believed that both victims were attacked in the street.

"Crime scenes remain in place."

Trident detectives from Specialist Crime have been informed.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

The attack came just a week after two men were found dead in separate stabbings, with one man in his 20s attacked in a fight in Walthamstow.

The news comes following a shocking spike in knife crime across the UK, with brazen killers now shamelessly attacking in broad daylight.

Boris Johnson has since approved an extra stream of funding for specialist teams operating in 18 of the worst hotspots in the UK.
