Women spend 71 days a year glued to their phones – nearly two weeks more than men.

A poll has revealed that the average woman uses her phone for four hours and 42 minutes each day, compared with three hours and 49 minutes for men – or 13 days more each year.

The study for Tic Watches also found the worst culprits were Londoners, who spent five hours each day sending email, checking messages and updating social media, while those in Southampton spent the least time, at just under three hours.
