EastEnders Adam Woodyatt lined up for Celebrity MasterChef

EASTENDERS star Adam Woodyatt has been lined up for this year's Celebrity Masterchef.

The actor – who plays Ian Beale in the BBC soap – will test his real life cooking skills against a host of other celebrities, in the hopes of impressing expert presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

He can call on advice from chef pal Marco Pierre White, who he sells his own brand gin to in his restaurants, according to the Mirror.

Adam is one of only three original stars left appearing in EastEnders since the very first episode in 1985.

He is the only one to have appeared continuously while Letitia Dean and Gillian Taylforth have both taken breaks from the show.

On-screen he runs both the chippy and the restaurant, potentially giving him a dramatic edge on his competition.

The newspaper has also revealed other stars taking part in the new series.

I'm A Celebrity winner Vicky Pattison has also signed up for the show.

Former Gogglebox star and hotel owner Dom Parker will be testing out his kitchen skills alongside the likes of former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney and former footballer Neil Razor Ruddock.

Boxing champ Dillian Whyte, 31, will also appear on the show.

Adam will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow EastEnders star John Partridge who won the show last year.
