Alfie Boe, 47, has shared he has “nothing but love” for his wife Sarah Boe, as he confirmed the couple split back in August last year. The singer praised his long-time love as he called her an “incredible partner” and shared they will remain “amicable” for their children, while dismissing speculation on his marriage as “nonsense”.
He revealed on Instagram: “After speculation about my marriage to Sarah ending, I can confirm that we have separated.
“I have nothing but love and respect for Sarah who’s been an incredible partner and an amazing mother to our two beautiful children and everything is very amicable.”
Addressing the speculation surrounding the end of their marriage, he added: “Other parts of the story, though, are absolute nonsense.
‘I would just kindly ask for respect of our privacy during this time, as we work things out.
“I thank you all for your welcomed support.”
The 47-year-old, shares daughter Grace, 12, and son, Alfie, eight with Sarah.
Alfie’s statement came after The Sun claimed the couple had gone their separate ways at the time after finding their relationship had become “increasingly strained”.
A source told the publication: “Alfie has told women he’s been chatting to on Raya that his marriage is over and they are going to divorce.
“It seems lockdown was just too much for Alfie and Sarah. They have found their relationship increasingly strained and he says they’ve now made the decision to separate.
“He is a doting dad and wants to keep things amicable for the sake of their kids. But he feels ready to move on.”

Alfie and Sarah initially met while rehearsing for La Boheme while in San Francisco.
Before rising to fame, Alfie dropped out of college without any A-Levels and began working as an apprentice at a car factory in Blackpool.
By chance, a customer heard him singing Arias while he was at work.
That customer then suggested he enter the open auditions for the D’Oyly Carte opera company.
Alfie previously told the publication: “At the audition, I was wearing a lumberjack shirt, T-shirt, jeans and boots.
“I looked around at all these suits and ball gowns, opera Kens and Barbies, and thought, ‘I don’t fit in here. This is wrong.’”
Only two weeks later, he was asked to join the chorus for the following tour.
However, Alfie always had dreams of becoming a rock star and thought classical training would help.
He said: “I was just a normal kid listening to The Stone Roses and The Charlatans.”
