Jessica Simpson drops 100 pounds post-pregnancy
Jessica Simpson showed off her incredible 100-pound weight loss nearly six months after she and husband Eric Johnson welcomed their third child, daughter Birdie Mae.
“6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240 ?)” the pop star, 39, captioned a pic of herself showing off her slim figure in a long black dress. “My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again.”
The artist added that while there were times she wanted to give up, she remained determined.
“Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder. ?,” she said.
The “Take My Breath Away” singer attributed her success to her longtime trainer, Harley Pasternak, who also shared his congratulations for Simpson’s tremendous trim-down.
“Beyond proud of this incredible woman,” the celeb trainer wrote. “Been working together for over 12 years and she’s always the most warm, sweet, polite, and respectful person in the world. And on top of it all, after being nonstop pregnant for as long as I can remember, she’s down 100 pounds and looks younger today than she was when we met.”
Plenty of Simpson’s VIP pals also congratulated the mom of three for sharing her weight loss journey.
“Wowza lady, you look ??????,” January Jones wrote.
“You look amazing!!! ??,” Katie Couric said.
“Gorgeous !!!!!,” Kyle Richards added.
Simpson and Johnson, 40, also share 7-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew and 6-year-old son Ace Knute. The couple got married in July 2014.

And while she rarely gave up her signature skyscraper-high heels, Simpson did occasionally give her swollen feet a break in furry designer slides.

Simpson stepped out in NYC on September 19 in black body-con, an animal-spotted blazer, over-the-knee leather boots and a huge Chanel tote.

Later that same day, she mixed leopard print with a long velvet duster, finishing things off with suede platforms and huge sunnies.

She strolled through LAX on September 21 in a silky bronze kimono, ribbed black dress, furry Fendi slides and plenty of jewelry.

On October 11, Simpson teamed a black lace trench with a leopard bag in NYC.

That night, she was honored at the QVC “FFANY Shoes on Sale” Gala, where she sparkled in a burgundy metallic Elie Saab gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Old Hollywood waves.

On October 12, she arrived at JFK airport in a rather glam travel look: an oversized lip-print sweater, black leggings, towering lace-up ankle boots and yet another gigantic tote.

She celebrated baby Birdie’s imminent arrival with a lavish baby shower on January 19, where she wore a white lace Reclamation gown and elaborate floral headpiece from Erica Elizabeth Designs.
And that night, Simpson went for a furry jacket and colorful patchwork bag to watch sister Ashlee Simpson and brother-in-law Evan Ross perform at The Roxy.
