Kate and William put on brave face in US after Harry and Meghans show trailer drops

Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out for their latest engagement in the US today, and the Royals were all smiles, just hours after the dramatic drop of Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary trailer.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, who released their own trailer reel on Instagram ahead of the Netflix one today, are currently visiting Boston, Massachusetts in America.

Kate looked stunning in plum as she opted for a matching fitted suit for her latest engagement with husband Prince William.

The 40 year old mum-of-three chose a pink blouse featuring a large bow at the collar, and her brunette locks flowed around her shoulders in the royal's signature blow-dried style.

Kate finished off her fresh-faced look with a slick of lipstick and pink cheeks as she braved the bitter December cold snap with her husband.

Prince William, meanwhile, chose a smart navy suit and suede loafers as the couple chatted to an enthusiastic group on the streets of Boston.

The couple arrived at Greentown Labs in the city, a company known for being North America's largest clean-tech incubator.

The Prince and Princess were keen to learn all they could about how climate innovation is being used and grown in the US, and were met with grins as they got down to business on Thursday 1 December.

The couple are visiting the country ahead of the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, which Prince William is an ambassador for.

The ceremony will once more celebrate figures in the environmental industry and various business fields, who are fighting against the real dangers of climate change.

Kate and William will stay in Boston for three days as they conduct a number of engagements during their flying visit.

Just hours ago, the first official teaser for Harry & Meghan, the Sussexes’ behind-the-scenes Netflix docuseries premiered.

The one-minute trailer featured never before seen private photographs of the couple.

In one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears with both hands as they stream down her face, while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress.

The couple are heard being asked: “Why did you want to make this documentary?”

Harry says: “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors… I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, while Meghan says, “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

While fans are now extra excited for the documentary to drop next week, William and Kate dropped their own trailer beforehand, in a savvy move for the Royals.

The couple gave their millions of Instagram followers a look at their night out at the Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat basketball match in a short but pivotal reel.

"Baskets in Boston [basketball emoji] Fantastic to celebrate the arrival of #EarthshotBoston2022 in the city and meet members of the community doing amazing things to protect and restore our planet," read the caption.

"Last night’s @Celtics #HeroAmongUs, Ollie Perrault, fights for environmental justice, working to get more young people involved in climate action – and all this at 15 years old. Amazing work!" they added.
