‘MAFS’ Star Jason Carrion Engaged to Roxanne Pallett Months After Cortney Hendrix Split

The ‘Married at First Sight’ alum announces his engagement to his actress girlfriend on Instagram with a photo from a ‘Rocky II’ scene, where Rocky proposes to Talia.

AceShowbizJason Carrion is set to walk down the aisle again after his whirlwind TV marriage to Cortney Hendrix ended up with a divorce. The former “Married at First Sight” star has announced that he’s engaged to his girlfriend Roxanne Pallett, ten months after he and his ex Cortney had filed for divorce.

The 33-year-old fireman and wrestler shared the happy news with his Instagram followers through a post on his private account. He posted a snapshot of a scene from “Rocky II” where Sylvester Stallone‘s title character proposes to Talia Shire‘s Adrian. He captioned it, “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind marrying me very much.”

Jason went on gushing about Roxanne, writing, “When I said you’re the love of my life I truly mean that. You get me more than anyone ever has and ever will. I know that my mom is looking down on us smiling because she knows that her son has someone I can truly call family.” He concluded his post with, “To my fiance @roxannepalettofficial,” adding a heart emoji.

After news of Jason’s engagement broke, Cortney congratulated the couple, telling E! News, “Congratulations to the happy couple. I wish them continued happiness.”

Jason’s engagement to Roxanne comes less than a year after it was revealed that he and Cortney had filed for divorce in February in Kings County, New York, after five years of marriage. The former couple got married in March 2014 in season 1 of the Lifetime reality show.

Jason said in a statement at the time, “It is with a heart full of sadness that me and Cortney have decided to separate. We fell deeply in love, and had very much a fairytale story being married as complete strangers in the docu-series, ‘Married at First Sight’.”

“We both had such an incredibly magical journey together these past few years, making this that much harder to write and even harder to live,” he continued. “These last few months, we asked for privacy to reevaluate things. It has been a very difficult time for me especially with all the rumors, as well as the public wanting updates about our marriage.”

The wrestler added, “Thank you for respecting our privacy because we both know all the intrigue is just a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead. Although we’ve decided to go our separate ways, we continue to love and support one another and still share a common goal to remain friends.”

He moved on by dating English actress and former “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant Roxanne, who confirmed their relationship with a picture of them kissing in August.
