Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha, 55, has been married to her second husband Mark Adderley since 2002. The couple share two children together, daughters Kiki-Bee Adderley, 12, and 17-year-old Maddy Adderley.

The small-screen star has been holed up at home with her family during the nationwide lockdown following the coronavirus pandemic.

The ITV favourite admitted she was struggling with self-isolation and “survivor’s guilt” before her husband revealed how they have coped with being in lockdown.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Nadia divulged: “I hit my reset button. You don’t have to be jolly all of the time.

“You don’t have to be learning a new language. Try and find a little routine which can reset you.”

Nadia revealed how she has made the lockdown a more “bearable” experience before her beau admitted “good sex” also helps.

She continued: “Good food, exercise, meditation, a good boxset. A good phone call with your friends.

“Mark just mouthed to me, ‘Good sex’.”

The ITV favourite admitted there had been moments where she felt extremely “down” and had to find different ways to deal with being at home all the time.

“I’ve got survivor’s guilt. I’ve got a nice house, nice garden, nice husband, two very annoying dogs, and I can cook,” Nadia commented.

“All of those things make for a very bearable lockdown.”

The Loose Women star also discussed details about her relationship and admitted it’s “intense”.

Despite the lockdown, the former EastEnders actress admitted she spends a lot of time with her beau and felt the couple had been preparing for this moment for years.

Nadia explained: “[The lockdown is] interesting because me and Mark have been saying this for the last couple of weeks.

“It almost feels like we’ve been preparing for lockdown for the last five years.”

She continued: “We work from home, we do the YouTube channel together, our kids are home-schooled.

“We spend a lot of time together and we have an intense relationship.”

Nadia revealed the transition into lockdown hasn’t been too difficult for the family.

“We spend a huge amount of time with our children than most people do because their children are at school all day,” Nadia commented. “So the transition hasn’t been as hard for us.”

Nadia and Mark host a weekly podcast titled Confessions of a Modern Parent, where the pair discuss the highs and lows of parenting in a modern world.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
