Yazmin Oukhellou looks downcast as shes pictured on day of ex Jake Mcleans funeral
Yazmin Oukhellou looked downcast as she was pictured running errands on the day of her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean's funeral on Tuesday 16 August, after allegedly being banned from attending amid tensions with his family.
The 28 year old TOWIE star was in the passenger seat of a car that Jake was driving in Bodrum, Turkey, on 3 July when it smashed off a cliff, tragically killing Jake and leaving Yazmin with serious injuries, and she said she was forced to "snap her own arm" to try save her and Jake.
She was still sporting a bandage on her arm when she was seen out and about on the sad day of Jake's funeral, dressed in tight-fitting pink leggings and a matching crop top.
Yazmin was also seen driving her plush Mercedes convertible with her mum, Lisa, in the passenger seat, after revealing that she was unable to sleep following the crash unless her mother was beside her.
Jake's funeral was attended by the likes of his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Goodger, former schoolmate James Argent and friend Sam Mucklow, however Yazmin was nowhere to be seen after it was reported that Jake's mum believed a row between her and Jake just before the crash may have contributed in some way towards his death.
According to The Sun, Jake's mum Anita Walsh told Turkish authorities she believed her son and Yazmin, 28, may have had an argument after leaving a nightclub in Bodrum. Yazmin, however, has since shut down those rumours – insisting there was no argument between them.
A source told the publication: “She has been left traumatised after the crash and to now not be allowed to say goodbye has been awful for her.
“Yaz insists there was no argument and that Jake and she were happy.”
They added: “Yaz will pay her own tribute to Jake privately.”
Yazmin broke her silence for the first time since the funeral to pay tribute to Jake on the sad day to share some sweet snaps of the pair.
Alongside the pictures, she wrote: "I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.
Yazmin went on: "This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.
"I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.
"I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you."
