From pink denim jackets to lime green shackets and the anything-but-boring blues, this everyday essential has had one serious upgrade.

We may be saying hello to another heatwave, whipping out the bikinis, swimsuits and summer shorts, but we hate to break it to you – it is going to end soon.

For some, this may be a blessing, as you can finally eat, sleep and do whatever else in peace without a constant trickle of sweat down your back; others, however, may shed a tear to see it go. But, all is not lost – once the cooler weather creeps in, the fashion does too, and trans-seasonal pieces are some of the trendiest.

Biker boots, tights and the odd piece of knitwear will soon start to appear, extending our summer wardrobes of floral frocks and summer tops by a good few weeks. But before that comes a long-time style staple: the denim jacket.
