REMOVING slippery moss from your paving and driveway can seem like an impossible task – but according to experts, there is an inexpensive hack that promises almost instant results.
If the conditions are right, moss can go virtually anywhere – the lawn, roof, walls, driveway, sidewalk and patio, making for an unsightly garden.
However, whilst there are many treatments to tackle this issue, gardening pros recommended a cheaper alternative – bleach.
Chatting to The Express, gurus at Green Acres claimed that the inexpensive household item is ''the best solution'' to remove moss from different surfaces.
However, as cheap and easy to use as it is, the harsh product can also destroy everything else in sight, plants and pavement included.
To ensure you avoid any unnecessary surprises, the experts recommended mixing about 20 ounces of bleach with five gallons of water.

Once done, pour the mixture into a spray bottle or garden sprayer and let it sit on the moss for about 15 minutes before washing it away with warm water.
According to the professionals, the moss should die and become yellow in a couple of hours – and at this point removing it with a broom or a brush will be a breeze.
For those who don't own a bottle of this household staple or have simply run out of it, a bottle of bleach retails for just £42 at Asda or 60p at Sainsbury's.
However, if you're not sold on this hack, experts at North East Paving and Gardens noted that another effective solution is baking soda.

For this, simply spray a generous amount of baking soda to the affected area and allow it to do its magic for a couple of hours.
Here, they reminded, it's best to do this on a dry day, as any moisture present in the air can prevent the trick from working.
“Vinegar is a fantastic alternative to a chemical treatment for concrete driveways and a cost-effective and simple moss killer can easily be made at home,'' the gurus added.

To carry this method out, gardeners should combine equal parts of vinegar and warm water, before pouring this into a spray bottle and applying the solution on the moss.
The paving gurus warned: “Be careful not to spray other plants in the area, as the vinegar will work to dry out and kill any plant life it comes into contact with.”
