A family has one vision, but the bride-to-be has ideas of her own in Say Yes to The Dress Lancashire.
In tonight’s episode of the TLC show, glamorous bride-to-be Chloe, from Lancashire, is determined to find a gown that will please both her professional rugby player fiancée Gareth and her social media followers.
But Chloe and her entourage have very different opinions as while she wants something figure-hugging, her mother Susan has always dreamed of her daughter wearing a princess dress.
‘In my honest opinion, it’s not the dress,’ says Susan. ‘It’s like something they’d wear on Strictly. As much as I love bling, that hasn’t blown me away like the other one did.’

Determined she isn’t letting anyone get in the way of finding her dream dress, Chloe says: ‘My mum Susan will definitely try and get me in a princess dress.’
‘But regardless of what my entourage think of my dress, when I see the dress that will be the one, there’s going to be no turning back for me.’
Starting things off with a laced fishtail dress, the bride-to-be is thrilled with the results.
‘The sleeves I absolutely love, and I’m pleasantly surprised by all of the drama at the bottom,’ she explains.

Beaming, she turns to her entourage to hear their thoughts, but her mum instantly dislikes the fishtail.
‘It frames you so beautifully,’ she explains. ‘I love the sleeves, but I’m not 100% sure about the bottom.’
After appeasing her mum by moving onto a beautiful, sparkly princess dress, Chloe is surprised and delighted when she likes it.
‘It actually feels really nice,’ she tells super stylist Gok. ‘The dress would definitely be a wow on social media because people wouldn’t expect me to go for this kind of style.’
In tears of joy at seeing her daughter wearing a princess dress, Susan is ecstatic: ‘It’s just beautiful, it’s stunning,’ she says.
But after suggesting that Chloe could complete the look by adding a veil, mother and daughter clash again when Chloe disagrees.
‘No,’ insists the bride-to-be. ‘I like the bare arms. I think that’s what separates it from being old fashioned to being with the times.’

Chloe’s mother Susan is ecstatic when her daughter tries on the princess dress (pictured) she has always imagined her in. ‘It’s just beautiful, it’s stunning,’ she says, crying tears of happiness
As tensions rise, Gok steps in to try and encourage Chloe to keep going and to try something a little bit different – a sleeveless halter neck with plenty of bling.
When trying it on, she instantly falls in love with it. ‘I think I’m a bit speechless, to be honest,’ she says happily. ‘I love this because it’s very, very different.’
But while her mother Susan claims it belongs on Strictly, Chloe’s future mother-in-law Jan disagrees, and thinks she should go with her gut.
‘Gareth’s jaw will probably drop to the floor to be absolutely honest,’ she says. ‘I mean you’re gorgeous, it does look gorgeous on you.’
Wanting to make sure Chloe follows her heart, Gok voices his opinion.
‘I love this on you’, he reassures her. ‘I really, really do. I think you look so gorgeous. It’s really important to hear what the guys have got to say, but you have got to remember that feeling that you felt when you first saw the dress.’
Helping Chloe make her mind up, 88-year-old grandma Jackie reassures Chloe that it is her decision alone to make: ‘The last two were brilliant in my opinion, but it’s what you want, my duck.’
Going with her gut and putting her social media followers first, Chloe defies her mum and says yes to the dress!
‘I feel a million dollars in this, and that’s the main thing,’ she says emotionally.
