Did Prince Harry and Prince William Disagree on More Things Besides Meghan Markle?

Prince William and Prince Harry grew up in front of the world. In many ways, the world still sees them as young boys who lost their mother. It’s hard to imagine them as men locked in a power struggle. Instead, the media blames the tension on their wives: Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. And since Markle is the newcomer, a bulk of the blame is placed on the American-born duchess. But is that a fair assumption or do we have the whole story wrong?

Why are there rumors of a royal feud?

When Prince Harry first brought Markle into the family, everyone thought they’d be the “fab four.” However, it soon became obvious that it wasn’t going to work out that way when Prince Harry and Markle announced they were splitting away from Kensington Palace.

Because of space issues, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan decided Frogmore Cottage would be a better option for their household than Kensington Palace. But royal watchers soon claimed they were moving because Markle and Middleton just couldn’t get along.

As time passed, rumors of a feud continued to follow the young royals, no matter how many people insisted they got along fine. The story of Middleton, as the traditional English rose, and Markle, the modern American celebrity, fighting against each other was too good for the tabloids to pass up. Fans of the royals couldn’t get enough of the drama.

Is the feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton or Prince Harry and Prince William?

This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment. Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie. Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue. The media loved the story of two duchesses pitted against each other, but evidence soon emerged that proved the feud may actually be between their husbands. At first, we heard that Prince William hadn’t supported Prince Harry in his relationship with Markle.

According to a source for Vanity Fair: “Harry felt that William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so. They had a bit of a fall out which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort.”

Now, that particular argument seems to have run its course, but there continue to be rumors of tension between the two brothers.

Is the royal feud all about Meghan Markle?

The arguments may have started with Markle, but they were probably just a symptom of the underlying tension between two brothers who are locked in a power struggle. If Markle hadn’t been around, the arguments may have started over another issue.

One way or another, Prince William and Prince Harry will need to move past their arguments. If not for themselves, then for the good of the royal family. But fixing a rift is never easy. It remains to be seen if they’ll be able to work things out before too much damage is done.
