Driver spray paints his own parking space for Skoda leaving neighbours furious

A Skoda driver has been blasted by his neighbours for spray-painting the road to mark off an exclusive parking space for his car.

The bright green and red paint was daubed on the road in front of dropped kerb and the words No Parking Here was scrawled across a fence.

There also appears to be a space dedicated for a motorbike in the drawing on the road in Gloucester too.

Residents have reacted with anger and shock. One told Gloucestershire Live : "We did have a little laugh about it at first, but we have to live with it."

Many on the street have questioned the legality of the painted parking spot, which is situated along a dropped kerb and in front of a fence reportedly not used for access.

A resident who lives nearby said: "I came in from work late last night and I saw a Skoda parked in the spot. I first thought there were LED lights under the car and thought 'that looks pretty cool'.

"But then I realised it was spray paint.

"I said "Oh my god, what have they done?"

"It's just bringing the whole street down – there are two schools nearby and people drive past a lot. It could be a case of the 'Broken Window' effect, once people see this and think it's okay they could graffiti other areas."
