  • PARK IT IN

Man Utd fan favourite Park Ji-sung turns 39 today.

The South Korean star netted 27 goals in 205 games for the Red Devils between 2005-2012.

Park won four Premier League titles, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

  • BATTERED N' BRUGED

A Man Utd fans group blasted Bruges for “deplorable treatment” during the trip for the Europa League clash, insisting they “feared for their safety”.

United supporters headed to Belgium to see their side manage a 1-1 draw with Club Bruges in the first leg of the last-32 tie.

The Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) wrote an open letter to the mayor of Bruges to complain at various aspects of the trip, including the local police's use of water cannons and barbed wire barriers.

The letter to Dirk De fauw said: “Fans were in genuine fear for their safety. We returned home with an impression of Bruges that should shame all those responsible for our safety and security.

“We have numerous reports that the police instructed taxi drivers to stay away from the ground and not to pick up Manchester United fans.

“It was a long walk in horrendous weather conditions from the town to the stadium.”

  • LOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS

Real Madrid ace Toni Kroos has revealed how he became close to joining Man Utd from Bayern Munich six years ago.

Speaking to the Athletic, he said: “David Moyes had come to see me and the contract had basically been done but then Moyes was fired and Louis van Gaal came in, which complicated matters.

“Louis wanted time to build his own project. I didn’t hear anything from United for a while and started having doubts.

“Then the World Cup started and [then Madrid manager] Carlo Ancelotti called. And that was it.”

  • SMALL CHANCE

Chris Smalling has declared he will “never give up” on an England recall with the defender starring on loan at Roma from Man Utd.

He told Sky Sports: “I think I always sort of harboured those hopes and for whatever reason that hasn't happened over the last couple of years.

“But the fact that obviously they are taking an interest, in terms of coming to Rome and seeing the games, hopefully I can keep putting on performances and that door can stay open and I can go through it.

“It would be amazing. Every cap that I've had, and it's been a little bit of a gap since the last one, but an amazing feeling. Whether that happens in March or not, I will never give up.”

  • A REAL NIGHT-MARIA

Angel Di Maria hates Manchester United so much that he turns off the TV as soon as they come on, according to team-mate Marcin Bulka.

And he added the Argentine doesn't a single positive memory from his time at Old Trafford.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Bulka – who signed from Chelsea last summer – opened up to Polish football YouTube channel Foot Truck about Di Maria.

He said: “Di Maria hates Manchester United.

“He has no good memory of the time he spent there.

“In fact, when something related to Manchester United appears on television, it changes soon.”
