Horse racing tips TODAY: Templegate Nap and best bets for Friday with Nicky Henderson's runner fancied at Cheltenham
TEMPLEGATE has got some big fancies lined up at Cheltenham on Friday.
SunSport's resident tipster has been in a red-hot run of form and hopes are high he will continue to bang in the winners today.
TOP NOTCH (1.50 Cheltenham, nap)
He is looking for his third win in this race and switching it from Huntingdon doesn’t harm his chances.
He has no issues about this trip and soft ground is fine. He’s had a breathing operation ahead of this comeback and should go close.
COURT MAID (2.25 Cheltenham, nb)
She has hardly put a foot wrong since switching to fences. She kicked off with a Galway Festival win before landing two good wins at Fairyhouse.
Her rivals were floored by 13 lengths that day as she relished this sort of trip.
She comes over from Ireland to run under a penalty before the handicapper gets stuck in.
MOHAAYED (3.35 Cheltenham, treble)
He won the County Hurdle a couple of years ago but took well to this longer trip when going close at Aintree last time.
His liking for this track combined with his low mark gives him every chance.
11.30 Lucky One
Looked a good prospect when winning at Southwell last time out.
Will find this track more to his liking than Fakenham.
12.40 Benny’s Bridge
Has shown best here and much fitter for his comeback latest.
1.15 Stop Talking
Consistent and couple of good runs at Ayr so far this season.
1.50 TOP NOTCH (NAP)
Primed for this race and wind operation should have helped.
2.25 Court Maid (nb)
Has won three of past four chases and hard to stop off this weight.
3.00 My Hometown
Second in this two years ago and from top yard for this track.
3.35 Mohaayed (treble)
Down weights, loves it here and enjoyed this trip at Aintree latest.
Improved effort on comeback at Cheltenham last time out.
12.32 Oscar Wilde
Shapes as though this distance will be ideal.
1.07 Silent Assistant
Good second at Cheltenham latest and this looks easier.
1.42 Captain Blackpearl
Plenty in hand when winning on chase debut at Kempton latest.
2.17 Carys’ Commodity
Can handle a 4lb rise for another good win last time out.
2.52 Dark Flame
Solid form last season and big chance on this comeback.
Made it three wins in a row in style at Hexham last time.
12.20 Arizona Glory
Knocking on the door and looks good enough for this.
12.55 Lex Talionis
Took a step forward when second at Ffos Las 12 days ago.
Improved effort to win at Warwick and more to come.
2.05 Robin Gold
Won with something in hand at Ascot last time out.
2.40 The Herds Garden
Good second on comeback at Uttoxeter and can build on that.
3.10 Minella Dream
Good win at Sedgefield and yard has good record in this race.
3.45 Famous Last Word
Solid form in Irish points and promise at Newbury last time.
4.15 Nine Elms
Goes well here including when close third last time out.
4.45 Tipperary Tiger
Showed plenty when winning on soft ground at Donny last month.
Knocking on the door and good second here last time out.
5.45 Alpha Theta
Well bred and should know her job on debut for Mark Johnston.
6.15 Native Silver
Will be much happier going back over this distance.
Went close over course and distance last time out.
Didn’t stay here latest and will enjoy this trip a lot more.
7.45 Jazz Legend
Consistent and looking for fourth win over course and distance.
