Stewards chase and catch pitch invader as Man Utd beat rivals Leeds in Perth – The Sun

A PITCH INVADER tried to disrupt Manchester United's 4-0 win over Leeds in Perth earlier today.

But the streaker was quickly tackled by stewards even before he made it to the pitch.

A video footage has emerged showing a man trying to sprint across the turf of the Optus Stadium.

But he barely made it halfway through the outer area of the pitch before stewards jumped on him, ending his run.

Six security members were involved in stopping the streaker, who was cheered on from the stands.

That comes just days after Vitaly Zdorovetskiy's mum Elena tried to halt the Cricket World Cup final at Lord's.

Zdorovetski is a Russian-American prankster and the owner of porn website Vitaly Uncensored.

His girlfriend Kinsey Wolanski promoted the X-rated site in her streaking stunt during the Champions League final last month.

RED HOT

Meanwhile, some 55,274 fans turned up to the Optus Stadium to watch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men drub Leeds 4-0.

Mason Greenwood opened the scoring, earning high praise from the Red Devils boss.

Solskjaer said that the teen could start United's first game of the Premier League season against Chelsea if his form continues.

Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial bagged one each against Leeds to secure the Old Trafford side's second win of the summer.

United beat Perth Glory 2-0 in their first pre-season game last week.
