Coronation Street spoilers: Cathy makes worrying discovery about Brian

CATHY Matthews and Brian Packham's relationship has been going strong for years.

But next week in Coronation Street, the co-owner of The Kabin makes a shock discovery about her partner.



While some couples in the cobbles deal with infidelity and secret babies, others are more or less exempt from the drama at least for a time.

But no relationship can ever truly be spared from the hassles of life in Weatherfield.

Coming up in the long-running ITV soap, Cathy Matthews (portrayed by Melanie Hill) first seems to feel like her love life is lacking excitement.

Brian Packham (played by Peter Gunn) leads his glammed up other half into the Rovers but she's disappointed when she realises their date night consists of a beer tasting at the local pub.

In May, 2022, the Corrie star announced she would be quitting the soap after seven years as Cathy Matthews.

She claimed she had made the decision after taking stock of her life "post-Covid."

"It's not been an easy thing to decide", Melanie told The Mirror.
