Ex-Emmerdale star Sammy Winward sends fans wild as she larks about in swimsuit
Ex-Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward had fans in a frenzy as she donned a sleek black swimsuit and headed for a splash in a lake.
The Katie Sugden star was accompanied by her pal Donna as she went for a swim in the muddy brown waters of what looked like an English lake, rocking a halter-neck swimsuit which left her toned shoulders and collarbone exposed to the air.
Sammy piled her sleek blonde hair atop her head in a messy bun and grinned wide-mouthed at the camera in the make-up free snap, while Donna giggled beside her in a white swimsuit.

Glorious green hills and a rocky shore could be seen behind the cackling pair as they treaded water in the depths of the chilly lake.
Sammy explained to her Instagram followers: “The best afternoon wild swimming and laughing so much that we couldn’t get out!”
Her fans immediately went wild in the comments section, as one posted: “Fantastic, looks fun!” and another agreed: “Stunning pic!”
“Bet it was very refreshing especially in this heat!” someone else followed up, as another penned: “You’re gorgeous!”
However, other fans were desperate to warn Sammy of the dangers of wild swimming, as one argued: “Stay safe in those pits, they are extremely dangerous – sorry if I sound like your dad or granddad!”
Another echoed: “Hope you were all safe Sammy, it can be very dangerous swimming in lakes/reservoirs.”
Bolton-born Sammy let the comments float away from her as easily as the water – and it’s no wonder she doesn’t have time to worry, as the actress has been incredibly busy since quitting Emmerdale way back in 2015.
She has since appeared in various TV dramas including Prey in 2015, in which she starred as Lucy Murdoch.
She also appeared in miniseries Fearless, 2017 flick Lies We Tell and a series of short films – as well as making various appearances on ITV panel show Loose Women.
Sammy shocked fans in October 2021 when she shared a picture of her rarely-seen husband in celebration of their fourth anniversary.

Captioning the wholesome pic, the former Emmerdale star penned: "On our way home from our London celebrations. Had the most magical weekend.
"The ballet, comedy clubs, food food and more food and walking till our feet hurt."
She continued: "6 years today being engaged to the love of my life, 4 years married, 24 years of friendship and still going strong. Here’s to 24+ more."
Sammy also has a lookalike daughter, Mia, who intends to follow in her mum’s footsteps and go into acting.
Opening up about being a young mum, Sammy said: “I always thought 'oh my god I'm only going to be 36/37 when she is 18' and I'm nearly there now and it's just crazy because we just feel like best mates really.
"Obviously, there is the mother and daughter relationship but we're more like best mates."
