Furious This Morning viewers slam 'pathetic excuse' as Holly and Phil break silence over 'queue jumping' accusations | The Sun
FURIOUS This Morning viewers have slammed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after they broke their silence over "queue jumping" at Westminster Hall on Friday.
Dozens shared their frustration on Twitter after Holly, 42, and Phil, 60, addressed the backlash today following calls for them to be sacked from they ITV show.
Holly explained to viewers: "We totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue."
However fans did not accept their explanation that they entered Westminster Hall and kept to "the edges" of the room and "did not file past the Queen's coffin."
One viewer tweeted: "They still Queue jumped. 'we would never jumped the queue' my a**e. They are not broadcasters, This morning is a talk show. Susanna Reid is a broadcaster for GMB and she waited hours like the rest of us. Holly and Phil have no shame, it’s a disgrace."
Another raged: "Well, one for the 'Sorry if you thought it was wrong' scrapbook. S**t explanation, they aren't even journalists, it's a magazine programme, no need to be there at all, let alone jump in."

A statement on the programme’s official Instagram account said: “Hello everyone, we would like to clarify something. We asked Phillip and Holly to be part of a film for this Tuesday’s programme.
“They did not jump the queue, have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state – but instead were there in a professional capacity as part of the world’s media to report on the event.”
Many famous faces have also given their opinion on the matter.
Susanna Reid, Eamonn Holmes and Huw Stevens have all taken swipes at the pair.
Meanwhile The Chase star Anne Hegerty defended them both and called the Twitter trolls "extremely rude".
