Love Island couple's shock reunion as Leanne and Mike post then delete kissing video from night out

LOVE Island's Leanne Amaning got a kiss off her ex Mike Boateng in a video uploaded — and then deleted — from Instagram.

The pair, who rose to fame on the first ever winter edition of Love Island in 2020, have raised hopes of a romantic reunion with the sweet video.

Leane, 24, tagged Mike in the clip on her Instagram Stories and wrote over it: "Look who I found."

The video disappeared from Instagram but The Shade Borough account posted it on Twitter, writing: "Not Love Islanders #LeanneAmanming & #MichaelBoateng looking quite cosy together!"

Leanne was chosen by Mike in the first episode when contestants "couple up".

They soon became favourites to win the 2020 winter series.

But, two weeks in Leanne was forced to leave the villa in Cape Town, South Africa after Mike picked Sophie Piper over her in a dramatic recoupling.

After leaving the villa Leanne said Mike was “playing a game” — although she “wants him to be happy.”

Mike eventually left the show with Priscilla Anyabu but they split last year after 15 months of dating.

During their time the pair were most remembered for sparking a race row after a black female was picked last in the opening episode for a third year running.

It came a year after Yewande Biala, 26, was not picked in 2019 while Samira Mighty, 25, was shunned twice after stepping forward for selection in 2018.

Both ended up with partners by default.

In 2017, no women stepped up for Marcel Somerville, 34, who is also black.

Ex-islander Sherif Lanre, who faced the same problem in 2019, said: "When Leanne wasn't picked I was thinking, 'Is this typical of reality TV where we've seen the black girls get picked last?'."

Fans of the show also hit out on Twitter. Aidan O'Connor posted: "Love Island is so openly racist it's mad.

"It's the same every year. Black people and Asian people just don't get picked, it's sad."

A spokesman for Love Island at the time said bosses "refute any suggestion of racism in the strongest possible terms"
