Spoilers: Nick kicked out by grieving Leanne at Christmas in Corrie

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) advises Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to move out in Coronation Street this festive season, in an effort to allow him the freedom he needs so that he can bond with his son Sam (Jude Riordan).

Nick is horrified when Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) arrives on the cobbles to reveal that Sam has gone missing.

Sam evidently turns up, as he later reveals that he doesn’t want to move to London, and begs Nick to allow him to move in with he and Leanne.

Leanne instructs Nick that he needs to be firm with Sam, and thus explain that he has to remain with his mum. Nick does just that, as he calls Sam and explains that it’s not possible for him to move in, as the timing is all wrong.

Nick later picks Sam up for a visit, and Leanne is determined to be upbeat, and therefore cooks them Christmas dinner, decorates a tree and wrapped Sam’s presents — something which leaves Nick’s incredibly touched.

Over their Christmas dinner, Nick assures Sam that he’ll visit him in London as often as he can and that they’ll do the museums together while he’s there.

However, Leanne later returns home to find Sam playing with Oliver’s musical box, and freaks out — leaving Sam feeling guilty.

In the wake of her outburst, Leanne suggests that Nick rent a flat, and move Sam in, so that he can get to know his son properly — without having to worry about her.

Will Leanne succeed in kicking Nick out? Or will Nick be determined to be by her side for Christmas?
