Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Eleanor (Kristen Bell) have been through quite a lot on the show. As such they have a rather complicated relationship that’s only gotten muddier over the last few seasons. Jamil, the first time actress who brought Tahani’s character life, has done an excellent job of summarizing their friendship.

It’s pretty clear in the show that Eleanor finds Tahani quite attractive, and the tension that creates has done wonders for the series. Will fans finally get to see the rivals turned awkward but lovable friends finally link up in the final season?
Honestly, one could only hope. Fan fiction is already a dime a dozen shipping these two! Like Jamil said before the season three release: “Her character is openly attracted to my character throughout both seasons. So, you know, maybe season three.” Just change three to four and we’ll have an explosive finale!

After the pair make it back to earth, Eleanor tells Tahani she isn’t drinking the Kamilah kool-aid. She prefers her to her sister, a rare thing considering the huge fan base she has! Then there was the time Eleanor complimented Tahani to cheer her up. She knew exactly what to say to make her gorgeous frenemy smile.
Oh and what about the crews trip to hell? Tahani and Eleanor were definitely giving off pure couple vibes when they were slinking around the place incognito. But by far one of the most telling incidents was a reboot in an earlier season the duo were actually soulmates! If that doesn’t convince you what will? This is only the tip of the iceberg! If you’re a fan of the show, you’ve definitely seen so many hints dropped that allude to Tahani and Eleanor being more than friends.
Are Jameela Jamil and Kristen Bell friends in real life?
Sure, their on-screen relationship might be difficult to grasp, but Bell and Jamil are thick as thieves off-screen. In fact, Jamil actually looked to Bell to show her the ropes when she was cast for the show! Considering it was her first acting gig, Jamil was understandably nervous. Now she’s grown into an amazing comedic actress thanks to the help of her more seasoned comrade.
The two are so close that Jamil makes it a point to ensure that her pal stays up to date with all the sweet (and raunchy) fan fiction that she comes across.
