This Morning fans have slammed the ITV series for "re-hashing old clips" in the latest show.

Thursday's pre-recorded episode (December 29) of the daytime programme saw Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield chat with Gyles Brandreth and Carol Vorderman about the year's top news stories.

Later segments saw highlights from the past year re-played, including Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond's interview with Bridgerton hunk Jonathan Bailey, leading viewers on Twitter to lose their patience.

One viewer wrote: "This Morning pretending it's live again when it's really a best bits which is fine but with it being best bits could have been over by 10.30."

Another complained: "Fed up with this today."

Meanwhile, a third aggrieved fan added: "What's with all the repeat VTs? Do This Morning live or don't bother."

"This Morning is simply a montage of Alison shrieking at various guests. I'm off out," added someone else.
