What Kim Kardashian Told Kelly Ripa About Having 4 Kids

Reality star and social media mogul Kim Kardashian is learning how to balance her ever-growing family. Now with four children in tow, Kardashian is the first to admit she has her hands full. While it can be challenging to have so many little ones ages 6 and under, the entrepreneur recently shared that having an even number of kids can give a sense of “balance.”

The peacemaker

Kardashian has been married to rapper Kanye West since May2014. They share two daughters – North, 6, and Chicago, 19 months; and two sons– Saint, 3 1/2, and Psalm, 4 months. Chicago and Psalm were both born viasurrogate.

With baby Psalm’s arrival, anyconcerns Kardashian had on turbulence between the siblings were quicklysquealched. “They love him. He has helped everyone come together. So noweveryone gets along,” Kardashian told People. “Everyone loveseach other. Everyone is helpful. And everyone loves him. Like, obsessed withhim.”

While thechildren seem to be bonding extremely well, Kardashian is not in a rush to addto the bunch. “I LOVE my babies so much but 4 isall I can handle with how busy I am, and each one of my babies needs so muchattention,” she said. “I don’t think I could handle more than that.My time is spread really thin. And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.”

The benefit of even numbers

Kardashian recently appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan, sharing that having four children seems to work well for her family. “It feelsso balanced, it feels like there’s a partner for everyone. No one is left out,”she said, according to People.

Ripa, who has three children – Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 16 – revealed herregret over not having a fourth. “You were so smart, you had a fourthbaby,” Ripa said to Kardashian. “I regret it [not having a fourth] every daybecause I think there’s a lot of antagonistic behavior with triangles.”

“I think anyone that has three, I do recommend going for the fourth. You’re already there, you’re so close,” Kardashian advised on the show.

One tough mama

Kardashian makes a priority of setting rules and boundaries for her kids. While she is sure to spoil them from time to time, she tries to maintain some standards with her children to mold them into responsible adults.

For instance, she expects her children to hold down jobs rather than just having everything handed to them. “I was saying that earlier to my friends, ‘I wonder what [North’s] first job is gonna be’. And they were like, ‘What? She’s gonna have a job?’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course she is.’ She will have to work for what she wants,” she said, as reported by Redbook.

The reality star also enforces a sleep schedule with her fouryoung ones. “I’m really fun and playful, but I’m really strict on naptime, and sleeping in her own crib. Like Kourtney’s style is where her kidssleep in bed with her… And maybe on weekends, [North will] come and sleep inthe bed with us,” Kardashian said.

She is also more selective when it comes to business opportunities, choosing ones that only are worth the time away from her kids. “I cut out a lot of things that I felt like weren’t 100 percent meaningful to me or worth the time that I was spending away from my family,” Kardashian said, according to Variety. “I won’t work on a project unless I am one billion percent passionate about it and it just makes sense.”

Regardless of Kardashian being a bit more choosy with her professional pursuits, there is a little chance of her lessening her prominent place in the spotlight.
