Boy, 15, ‘stabbed in the back’ during school fire drill as teenager arrested in Milton Keynes – The Sun

A TEENAGER has been arrested after a 15-year-old pupil was allegedly stabbed in the back during a school fire drill.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Stantonbury International School in Milton Keynes at around 11am this morning.

The pupil was allegedly stabbed once in the back before being taken to hospital suffering a stab wound.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody for questioning.

At least four police cars and an ambulance rushed to the scene and a number of parents have arrived at the site to take children home.

Superintendent Marc Tarbit, LPA Commander for Milton Keynes, said: “Officers are investigating this incident in which a boy has been injured.

“We have made an arrest and we are carrying out further enquiries.

“Officers are on scene and we are working closely with the school to offer support to them and pupils and parents at the school.

“Members of the public can expect to see an increased police presence whilst our enquiries continue.”

A spokesman for the school said: "A student in Stantonbury International School has been assaulted by another student during a fire drill."

The school currently holds around 1,800 pupils aged between 11 and 18.
