Disabled man jailed for fitting a gun to his wheelchair and running a weapons factory from his flat – The Sun

A DISABLED man fitted his wheelchair with a gun and ran a weapons factory in his flat, a court heard.

Glenn Brigham, 35, modified his chair to house a pistol capable of firing rubber bullets.

He also had a workshop with drills and lathes, and there were half-completed gun parts in the house.

Clips and bullets for the guns were also found at the flat along with scales, funnels, measuring kits and transparent plastic tubes used for the production of cannabis.

Officers also found a deactivated black and brown AK47 lying next to an African shield and spear and a copy of a book called The Meaning of the Holy Quran and 5.2 kilograms of cannabis stuffed into plastic bags.

Brigham, of Islington, North London, admitted six charges of possessing a prohibited firearm and two of producing cannabis. The offender, who has a stich-mark tattoo trailing away from his right eye and ink patterned like a snake’s scales circling round his neck, was jailed for six years at Southwark crown court.
