Shocking moment bus driver tries to run over pedestrian deliberately blocking his way
THIS is the shocking moment a bus driver tries to run over a pedestrian in an alleged road rage row.
The man tries desperately to stop the bus as he is shunted down a Rome street.
In a short clip, seemingly captured by a local resident, the man is sent flying but it is not clear whether he suffered any serious injuries, Sky tg24 reports.
It was shared on Facebook by a former employee of the city’s transport company Atac and quickly went viral in Italy.
The clip begins with the man walking in front of the bus on a leafy suburban street.
However, instead of slowing down the driver speeds up and the pedestrian begins banging on the windscreen as he is thrown back along the road.
Miraculously he manages to keep his footing instead of being sucked underneath the bonnet.
The clip ends with the man thrown down the road.
Attac have now vowed to punish the driver responsible for the incident.
In a statement, a spokesman for the firm said it had “immediately started investigations” were taking the matter “very seriously.”
The statement added: “Pending the conclusion of the assessments, Atac will proceed to suspend the responsible driver once they have been identified.“
Atac also said the video had been reported to the relevant authorities.
