How Kim Kardashian has spent £70k transforming her body, including £22k on her face and £31k on her bum alone, according to experts

KIM Kardashian is well known for transforming her look – her ever-expanding bum and constantly-changing hair prove that.

But even by the reality TV star’s standards, the whittled-down waist she showed off at this week’s Met Ball was a surprise.

So how has Kim, 38, managed to change her body over the years so dramatically over the years – and how much might she have paid for it?

Here some of the UK’s top cosmetic surgeons and experts – none of who have worked with Kim – give their views on what she could have used to get her look.

Bum

When she first hit the scene Kim was clearly proud of her shapely bottom – she showed it off at every opportunity on the red carpet after all – but Dr Fulvio Urso-Baiarda of Eterno Plastic Surgery says there were no signs it had been cosmetically altered.

It’s in 2010 that we begin to see the emergence of the world famous Kardashian derriere.

“There is an increase in buttock definition here,” says Dr Urso-Baiarda.

“This is almost certainly around the time of her first fat graft, probably using fat lipo-suctioned from elsewhere in her body."

The following year Kim’s figure was getting so much interest she offered to have an x-ray on Keeping Up With The Kardashians to prove she didn’t have bum implants.

But experts point out that if she’d had her own fat pumped back into her rump it should show on a scan.

A few years later, Kim’s bum was still growing.

“In 2012, something weird happens to Kim’s bottom,” Dr Urso-Baiarda says.

“‘We are not only starting to see a width increase for the first time, but the buttock crease (the line between the buttock and thigh) is sloping downwards and inwards.

“I suspect this is because her bottom has been weighed down by fat grafts in a way that would not naturally happen.”

To support her increasingly full buttocks and keep the supporting skin strong, Kim might have opted for treatments to maintain collagen and elastin, he adds.

The empire built on Kim’s buttocks almost came crashing down in 2016 after beach pictures revealed her bottom was less peachy than fans thought.

“Those pictures caused a bit of a ‘Wow, what’s going on here moment?” says Dr Urso-Baiarda .

“The volume looked similar but it was clear she was starting to get dimpling.

“Cellulite is caused when the fibrous bands holding the fat in compartments in the buttocks can’t contain the fat.

“It looks she may have had more fat injected then the fat compartments could hold.”

The following year Kim seemed to scale down the size of her bum, with plastic surgeon Anthony MacQuillan of Bristol’s Spire Hospital suggesting she could have used liposuction to remove some fat.

Possible Cost: £30,750

Waist

While her buttocks have got bigger, Kim’s waist has slimmed down over the years.

Aesthetician Natalie Vo of The White Clinic in London suggests non-surgical body shaping treatments could have helped her hone her shape.

Kim’s also known to use waist trainers to give her a more defined shape – but her look at the Met Gala this week still caused raised eyebrows.

She wore a nude Mugler dress which was dripping in crystals and highlighted her tiny waist.

She looked so slim some people suggested she’d had ribs removed – more likely her working out schedule and super-tight corset got her the look.

Possible cost: £6,400

Nose

In 2007, Kim was only known for being Paris Hilton’s best friend and stylist.

But her sex tape with Ray-J and access-all-areas TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians launched her as a bone fida celeb in her own right, meaning the pressure was on to look fabulous all the time.

Despite her denials, Dr Urso-Baiarda says Kim may have had the first of two possible nose jobs around this time.

“There used to some natural fullness at the tip of her nose which looked right for her,” he tells The Sun Online.

“She also had a slight hump but it’s gone later. And humps don’t take themselves away.”

Newcastle-based cosmetic surgeon Dr Ash Dutta agrees her nose has changed: “The nose we see in 2019 is smaller than this one. This one is slightly chunkier with a lower tip.”

By 2015 Kim was fully embedded in the A-list world. Married to Kanye West for a year she had their first baby that year, with the experts suggesting she might have gone in for round two of nose surgery too.

Kim has insisted any changes are down to her Glam Squad and their cunning make-up techniques though.

Possible cost: £16,000

Hairline

Kim’s been open about having some work done to her hairline – but just how much are we talking about?

It seems she might have had her hairline lifted to make her forehead look higher.

Newcastle-based surgeon Ash Dutta of Aesthetic Beauty Centre says the distance of the hairline to the bridge of the nose should ideally be about one third of the face.

By 2008, Kim’s hairline started to look a few millimetres higher and more defined, lifting her face and making it look more open.

She’s admitted having a hair removal procedure too, explaining: “I lasered my baby hairs off years ago, because my forehead had all these little baby hairs, and I would always break out because of them."

Possible cost: £600

Lips

Dr Urso-Baiarda notes Kim’s lips started to look fuller in 2008, just as her star was rising.

“In earlier pictures, Kim seems to have a naturally full lower lip and her upper lip is about half the height,” he says.

“That gradually starts to change so they become a similar height.”

In 2015 they change shape again, with the expert pointing out Kim’s cupid’s bow is more defined and natural wrinkles on her upper lip have smoothed.

Possible cost: £2,000

Face

Dr Urso-Baiarda wonders if the star had filler in her cheeks around 2009, as they became fuller.

“Overall, it also gives her a slight enhancement to her cheekbones, giving her a generally more lifted look,” he says.

Then in 2013, plastic surgeon Anthony MacQuillan suggests Kim shows “subtle changes to jawline, likely from fillers".

Dr Ash Dutta, who is secretary of the British Association of Body Sculpting, agrees that over the years Kim’s jawline has become more pronounced.

“Kim would also be likely be maintaining her skin with radio frequency and botox treatments,” he adds.

The following year all eyes were on Kim when she “broke the internet” by balancing a champagne glass on her bum for Paper magazine.

Dr Urso-Baiarda  was more interested in her cheekbones though, which he believes began to project more because she’d used fillers.

Possible cost: £4,000

Boobs

While her buttocks appear to have had plenty of enhancement, Kim’s breasts have gone relatively unchanged over the years, says Dr Urso-Baiarda.

“She could have had an implant or an uplift and but it’s very subtle,” he says.

Anthony MacQuillan wonders if Kim had a ‘mummy makeover’ after her kids were born to boost her boobs a little and help her look toned.

Possible cost: £10,000
