Ferne McCann shares peek into life changing India trip after voicenote scandal

Ferne McCann has shared a glimpse of her recent "life changing" trip to India after taking a social media break.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 32, was reportedly filming the latest series of her ITVBe reality show First Time Mum while on the trip with her fiancé Lorri Haines, 31.

The mum-of-one took some time away from Instagram in order to be "present" during the getaway and made a return to the app on 9 December to share an update with her fans.

"I have taken some time away from social media to be totally present on our recent trip to India & to live in the moment. To quite literally be where my feet are," the reality TV star wrote.

She also added: "I feel balanced. I surrender all my worries. I maintain strength. I've gained clarity. I am present," as she posted snaps on her Stories.

Ferne has since posted a number of photographs detailing her India trip, including shots of meditating and loved-up selfies with her boyfriend Lorri.

She told fans her time abroad had been "very special" and India had always been somewhere she had wanted to visit.

"A life changing trip in India. This country has always been a place I’ve wanted to visit. The culture, people, food wow it really was very special. Here are some moments from our trip," Ferne wrote.

Her fans and celeb pals were quick to comment on the post, with Vicky Pattison writing: "So many gorgeous moments… hope you've had the best time mate," while Georgia Harrison added: "Vibes".

The ex-TOWIE star's getaway with Lorri comes after she was heard in an audio recording, released by an anonymous source in November, verbally attacking Sophie Hall, one of the 2017 acid attack victims of her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins.

Ferne later apologised for her comments in a statement made on Instagram, but there were many calls for her ITV show to be axed.

However, ITV bosses appear to have made the decision to keep First Time Mum on ITVBe, with Ferne said to be filming a new series at the moment, with the India trip set to feature.

A source told The Sun: “Ferne is resuming filming for First Time Mum and is heading to India.

“She is booked to fly out of the country today and is taking a film crew with her. Initially plans for filming were paused as the voice note scandal unfolded.

"However, Ferne has the backing of her ITV bosses and filming will start in the coming days.”
