Married at First Sight UK is back on E4, and fans have already been treated to a few drama-filled episodes. However, things are set to take a turn in the reality show, after it was reported a bride had run off with another contestant’s husband. The names of the couples are being kept under wraps, but it’s reported the split is going to be explosive.
Bosses have teased “chaos” and it will be a “massive talking point” for fans when the dramatic scenes unfold.
“One of the wives decides to run off with another husband, and it will cause absolute chaos when the truth comes out,” they teased.
“It’s going to be a massive talking point, both on the show, and also amongst viewers.
“It will blow the experiment wide open and be hugely dramatic. Fans won’t see it coming.”
“The fireworks after this affair will make the drama of last year look like an episode of Antiques Roadshow,” the source added to The Sun.
“It’s up there with all the twists and turns fans love from the Aussie version of the show.”
There has already been an affair scandal in the latest series when George Roberts grilled his new bride April Branbury over a kiss she’d shared with someone else.
During Wednesday’s instalment, things took a turn when the couple landed in Jamaica for their honeymoon.
Things were going so well until George found out April had cheated on him with another woman.
As the episode unfolded he learned April had “cheated” with a fellow hotel guest, while they were celebrating their honeymoon.
At the time, George broke down, telling the cameras: “I’ve been cheated on.
“I woke up this morning numb and cold, we had a lovely evening, I later came back and realised there had been an incident.
“I don’t know if I feel comfortable doing this. It was heartbreaking and a massive kick in the teeth, she’d been intimate with someone else.”
April later shows up to try and make amends with George and tried to defend her actions.
She told her new husband the kiss “meant nothing” and they were “mucking around”.
“We were playing dares and stuff, having a laugh,” she told her new husband when referencing the kiss.
April believed she hadn’t done anything wrong, later telling the camera: “I thought most guys would be happy, two girls kissing in a hot tub.”
When asked about whether she had kissed anyone else, April insisted she hadn’t.
The kiss left viewers divided on whose side they were on, however, how will they react when the latest affair airs?
Married At First Sight UK airs from Monday to Thursday on E4.
